About me
I started Aging Well Coaching for two simple reasons: 1) I wanted to help people feel better, and 2) I wanted my daughter to grow up in a culture where it is normal and socially accepted for people to talk about and prioritize their own needs and health before those of others. I see so many people working their butts off every day to meet life’s demands with courage and a smile, but when I talk to them, they are often tired, unhappy, and struggling with their health and self-esteem. I have been there. I am smiling in this picture, but I didn't feel so great on the inside. I was in my midlife, trying to juggle a busy job in the military and a busy family while striving to make time to take care of myself. I felt like I was constantly torn in a million directions, struggling in all aspects of my life until my body started giving me signals I needed to change; my check engine light came on, so to speak. Multiple trips to my doctor later, I was told that stress, anxiety, autoimmune issues, and perimenopause were the likely culprits. This was during COVID, so like many others, I took a moment to reflect and came up with a vision for my health and a plan on how to support myself so I could show up for myself and my family with a genuine smile and vitality. Four years, a diploma, and several certifications later, I’m still healing, but I genuinely laugh often, feel youthful and now I want to help others support themselves and feel amazing.
